Private Pilot Course
Flying continues to be the safest and most efficient mode of transportation. At Gorge Aviation Services, we train pilots to keep it that way. We not only take pride in training safe pilots, but also strive to make flying a fun and rewarding experience. Obtaining your Private Pilot Certificate will be one of the most memorable adventures of your life. You will find the process challenging and extremely fulfilling.
To become a private pilot you need a FAA minimum of 40 hours of total flight time, which must consist of at least 20 hours of dual instruction and 10 hours of solo flight. We follow a 61-part training structure, which enables great flexibility and a fun learning environment. With the assistance of our instructors and our custom textbook, you can track your progress, come to each lesson prepared, and leave each lesson feeling a sense of accomplishment.

Instrument Rating Course
Obtaining an instrument rating not only enables you to fly in challenging weather conditions but also makes you a more well-rounded pilot. At Gorge Aviation Services, we follow a proven and effective curriculum that will help guide you through FAA Checkride and set you up for a lifetime of safe instrument flight. This will vastly improve your airplane handing skills, flight planning, and will likely lower your insurance rates as well.
G1000 Training
The Garmin 1000 avionics suite offers up to the minute weather information, live traffic alerts in busy airspace, and all of the airport and frequency information you’d ever want — right at your fingertips. In short, the Garmin 1000 avionics suite gives pilots an unmatched margin of safety. For most current pilots with little or no GPS experience, training will take less than five hours in the air for VFR applications. For current IFR pilots, combine your Technically Advanced Aircraft transition with your next IPC! We also stock Max Trescott’s popular G1000 and GPS handbooks for home study to augment your hands-on experience with us.
