Learn to Fly

The perfect introductory experience for those who are considering becoming a pilot, or for those that simply want to give flying a try.

Flight Simulator

Start your flight on the ground at any airport or in the air. Fly day or night in VFR or IFR conditions. Practice aircraft failures and emergency procedures.

Private Pilot Course

Flying continues to be the safest and most efficient mode of transportation. At Gorge Aviation Services, we train pilots to keep it that way.

Instrument Rating Course

Obtaining an instrument rating not only enables you to fly in challenging weather conditions but also makes you a more well-rounded pilot.

Asher Siapco (CFI)

Asher Siapco (CFI) is from Bellingham, Washington. He came to Walla Walla as a Pre-Med student at Walla Walla University. In his third year he changed to an Aviation Tech major, the pull of flying too much to ignore. We’ll help him build his flight hours and experience to go to a commercial airline while he helps train interested student pilots.

Travis Chlarson (CFI, CFII, CFI-G)

Travis Chlarson (CFI, CFII, CFI-G) is our Flight School Manager and Chief Pilot. His fifty years of flight experience are quite diverse, from flight instructor to staff pilot and glider pilot. He’s owned and operated an FBO, worked at and with other FBO’s in various capacities, as he loves to fly. When he isn’t working with students in both Hermiston and Walla Walla he fly’s his own Cessna 182, a straight tail he is quite proud of.

Walker Snell (CFI, CFII, MEI)

Walker Snell (CFI, CFII, MEI), born and raised in Montana, he is an Aviation Tech student at Walla Walla University. He has been flight instructing for about one year. He owns and flies a bright red Mooney as he builds time to fly for a commercial airline.
